In an effort
to make things overly complicated and at least a little different from
every other movie review rating system I’m privy to, the rating
system used here will be a star based rating system divided into two sections.
The first section will be on a scale of zero to six stars including fractional
stars i.e. three and a half stars. In addition to this rating there is
also an additional section that is rated from zero to three stars. This
section rates the ending of the movie. There are plenty of films, Blazing
Saddles is a decent example, where the film is good overall but the ending
was so ill conceived and executed that it must be rated separately from
the rest of the movie. Conversely, a film like the Sixth Sense where the
actual movie is nothing but a fluffy, long introduction to a cool five-minute
ending would acquire a high second rating and low first rating. |
